Welcome to Baltic Gateway and Baltic
 Gateway PLUS!

Together towards sustainable transport solutions!

Transportation of passengers and goods increases dramatically in the South Baltic Sea area. The existing infrastructure and transport solutions are not good enough to handle the traffic in a sustainable and efficient way. A wide range of organizations has therefore joined forces in the Baltic Gateway and Baltic Gateway PLUS projects to develop and implement a common strategy for how to improve the transport system in the area.

Baltic Gateway started in March 2003 and was completed in June 2006. Baltic Gateway PLUS started in January 2006 and will be completed in December 2007. Altogether, some 51 official partners take part in the Baltic Gateway process. Responsible organization for both projects is Region Blekinge.
